Hey I need some help regarding a phone I sold on ebay..

I sold the phone on the first of this month. The buyer left good feedback. But now, he says the manufacturer has installed a virus on the phone, and the GPS is weak. And wants a return label.

What do I do? I'm new to ebay so haven't got a clue.

Thanks all.

Admittedly it's a Chinese phone but he knew that when he bought it. I clearly stated what the item was. It's brand new I only used it for a day which I also stated.

Everything worked fine for me

Okay cheers guy's. Thought it sounded a bit suspicious seeing as he left good feedback. What should I reply with? Literally the first and only thing I've sold on ebay.

First item I've sold an item unfortunately. But I've bought like 70 or 80 items. All with positive feedback.

He's now requesting a return. Ugh..

Edit. Saying the GPS doesn't work. And he's found a very serious trojan. This is the last time I use ebay for anything. He left me positive feedback of "great item" too.

I'm going to say to ebay buyer is abusing the protection program? Because there is no virus, he's had the phone for days and could have put anything on it. The GPS was working fine when I used it. He gave me good feedback. I've already given a partial refund because apparently the back cover didn't fit correctly with the USB cable inserted. (He's probably used a larger micro USB cable)

What a hassle. Best option is to contact ebay I guess.

Talk about jumping through hoops

Well, regardless, there's no issue with the phone so I've emailed ebay describing what the buyer wants, his "supposed issues" and the fact he left me good feedback. I've jumped through hoops with this buyer. I won't be accepting returns which I may add the original listing stated! I also willingly won't be refunding anymore money.

Indeed.. :/ I really don't need this hassle. And nor do I need the phone. I might just say keep the damn thing, and refund the rest of the money. I don't need this hanging over my head tbh..

That's basically what looks like has happened.. bought it, tried it, doesn't want it/seen something else. Last time I use ebay for selling. Cheers chaps..

The back cover didn't fit properly on the back when a USB cable was inserted. Which I didn't know until he complained.

I've never done the before. Selling on ebay lark.

I've told him the GPS can be location dependant. I.e it won't work properly inside etc. Also if he's picked up a virus somehow, try a full system reset. There's no fault with the phone.

I haven't said anything to him. Other than the GPS works. And if he picked up a virus try restoring. The phone isn't faulty. Cheers.

:) can't do much more

He says he's been travelling with it and can't get a proper lock on the GPS position. Also, that the trojan virus was put on there already by Ecoo, the phone maker.

Ecoo is owned by elephone. There are no viruses on their phones AFAIK.

Also. Why did he not research this stuff prior to buying the phone? I'm digging my heels in. Not fair that I've effectively "lent" him a brand new phone for a few weeks only to be returned.
