Ebay issue as buyer

I bought an item from a seller on the 10th May 2015. The estimated delivery date was the 28th May as it was coming from Malaysia.

I waited the full month and still no item so I messaged the seller on the 10th June and they responded saying it probably had a delay but that they would send a new item straight away with fast delivery.

Again I waited a month and still nothing from the seller so I messaged them again, they said to wait another week and then contact them again. I sent them another message saying this is unacceptable as I had already waited a long time for the item. They haven't responded since then which was the 14th of July.

I contacted Ebay and they said there is nothing I can do as its over 30 days since the estimated delivery date. Now I am unsure what to do as the item was £30 which to me is a lot of money. I have messaged the seller another two times and been extremely polite but they are obviously ignoring me as they know they don't need to do anything as I can't get the paypal refund.

Unfortunately my paypal account is attached to a debit card so don't have any protection there either.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Paypal has its own 180 day protection in place doesn't it? I have never had to use it though so another member may be able to shed some light?

Paypal covers up to 180 days. Open up dispute there

Delivery date was 18 days yet you waited 1 month, seller tells you to wait some more and you wait another month...then he tells you to wait some more and you didn't wait a whole month again...why ?

I know it sounds daft to have waited so long, I have ordered many things from Ebay that have come from Asia and they do sometimes take a month to get here so thought nothing of it.
