Hi all.

Quick question, hope someone can shed some light on what to do or how to contact Ebay directly...if you can even do that?

Basically, my girlfriend put her car on Ebay to sell, and as you know it cost around £25 odd to get on there...

Now, issue is, someone bidded on the item, and won...They then emailed saying can I ring you to talk about the car etc, to which my g/f gave a number for them to ring, sadly no one rang...After several attempts to contact the buyer she opened a dispute (or whatever they are called).

She just got a reply from the buyer, saying something along the lines of: "Sorry, I don't know what is happening with my ebay account or who is bidding on it, but i am not happy, can we sort this out somehow?".

Now imagine the above with no english what so ever....

What can we do then exactly? You have an option of either closing the dispute or something....Or replying to the buyer.

I can see them not paying, so you know? What can be done? Can we email Ebay directly for advice? The main issue is the fact she does not have a lot of money as it is, so ideally it would be good if we could relist the item for free or something?

Any advice is welcome, and sorry for the long post. :)

Easy way is if they agree cancel the agreement, you get your fees back and realist.
Or file a non-paying bidder and realist.

Thanks :)

So, reply to them saying what exactly? Sorry for being so dumb founded, never had to deal with annoyances on Ebay before :(

The linked helped a bit, just want some kind of guarentee that we can relist without being charged.

if there was other bidders you could try offering a second chance offer

I can't remember how you do it, but of you both agree to councilling the agreement you can get your fees back. Have a dig around your ebay sold item section. Otherwise just file a non paying bidder dispute.

Yeah, he was the only bidder, with one bid, exactly at the reserved amount as well, with one bid.

Yeah, we opened a dispute, and finally got a reply with what i said earlier :)

So now I guess we reply saying so you are not going to pay for the item, can you agree to us closing the case saying you can't pay for the item?

Well, replied to the person regarding closing the case and saying he can't pay for the item...But heard nothing back yet.

Getting silly.
