eBay/paypal problem

I've sold something on ebay and the chap has paid by paypal.

Not sure why but it has allowed him to pay using an email address listed on the ebay account which dates back to blueyonder days!

My own paypal account is linked to the ebay account so I'm not sure why it's went to the old one.

I can't access the old paypal account as I don't have the password, I can't reset the password as I don't have the password for the blueyonder email and even if I eventually get into the account none of my cards will be registered to it.

Paypal automated phone line is the work of the devil and I can only seem to get to a reset pasword prompt.

Is suicide the only way out of this? :confused:

Had a similar problem , i had spelt my email address wrong and the payment went to someone else , phoned paypal and they sorted it out.
Did you phone 0800 358 7911

I did but couldn't get through to a person.

Maybe I was still drunk this morning. Any suggestions?

virgin reset my blueyonder email password for a very old account, maybe they can help you too?

Will need to give them a call tomorrow and pretend I'm my mum. Think that may be the best place to start to prove I own both accounts.

Cant you simply ask the buyer to cancel the payment and repay after you've set the correct address as default .
