Ebay potential scammer thread

Had an item on buy it now
Sold overnight
Checked out buyer and saw zero feedback and an account created that day = too much risk
Contacted seller apologising it had been sold locally
Cancelled sale and refunded via ebay

Conversation with Buyer
[BUYER]: How will I be refunded?
[ME]: It should be back in you Paypal now
[BUYER]: I don't have a Paypal account

End of discussion for me but we'll see what comes next...
 
probably paid by card through ebay, if you request to cancel the order then it will give you the option to refund them. The money will come back out your paypal and go back to his payment method.
 
I just sold an item on ebay this week and the buyer paid by Paypal (after asking me cash or Paypal) and I realised that I could be open to a scam when they came and picked it up from my house so I refunded the Paypal payment and they paid by cash and picked it up instead. They seemed quite nice aswell so probably never an issue but with ebay you do have to label everyone almost as a potential scammer these days.
