Hi there.
Right. A few weeks back I bidded on a car and won the auction. I then travelled over 200 miles to purchase it but found that it had many faults and wasn't as described so I didn't buy it.
Anyway, fast forward to today and I have an 'Alert':
Dear [me]:
We are contacting you about the following item: [the car]
The seller, [seller] tells us you have mutually agreed not to complete the transaction (e.g. because you returned or are returning the item for a refund or because there was a misunderstanding) and has requested a credit for their eBay fees.
Please respond by 09-Mar-2006 so eBay knows whether you have agreed.
Now when I click the respond button it gives me the following two options:
- I agreed not to complete this transaction and/or return the item.
The seller will be eligible for a refund of their eBay fees.
- We have not made an agreement to cancel this transaction.
The seller will NOT be eligible for a refund of their eBay fees.
Now does this mean that I'll have to pay for his eBay fees if I accept? If so there is no way I am doing that since he wasted my time (8 hours to get there and back), telephone calls and not to mention the cost in fuel...
But then again I can't exactly go for the 2nd option of not making an agreement or can I?
Cheers![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
