well i won an item on ebay (black widow case as it happens) but the reserve wasnt met, so what happens next? i emailed the guy yesturday asking if i won could i pick it up he said yes?

shall i email him or just wait and see if he says anything?

well normally if the reserve isnt met, they dont sell it - but if it was close to the amount and he agrees to it.. well its ok i suppose.. wait till he replies about the delivery etc - make sure you get proof of this - if he does end up moaning about the reserve not being me :) hope this helps

He doesn't have to sell it to you, but if he decides to sell it to you below the reserve price you wouldn't be covered by eBay protection.

Sounds fine if you're picking it up and paying with cash though.

The guy wont sell at that price, thats the second time it's been on ebay and the reserve wasn't met the first time either, IIRC his reserve was £80, if your willing to pay that then email him the offer.

No you didn't win it. If the reserve wasn't met, you don't win. That's how auctions work ;)

(personally I think reserve auctions on ebay are pointless, and most ebay auctions don't use reserves anyway)
