Ebay question.

Was wondering if any one could help me with the below.

A guy at work has won a phone on ebay for £6 ish when they are worth a lot more he paid for it stright away after the bidding finished the the owner has sent him a message saying "i am not selling the phone for what was bidded" was just wondering where he should go with this now.

They should have put a reserve on it if they wanted more and AFAIK it's a binding contract between buyer and seller.

i told him the same thing and should send her a message saying that and along the line of what she is doing is fraud and he will be seeking leagle advice try to scare her

Sellers fault for not having a reserve. He should really sell it to him, however I don't think eBay can force him has such. He'll probably end up just getting refunded.

depends how much time he wants to waste over £6. Get a refund and move on. Seller could claim item was broken etc therefore he has nowt to sell etc

Dispute and get a refund. That person will get negative feedback.

Nothing you can do. Get refund, put negative feedback and contact ebay to put a black mark on his/her account.

Do not mutually withdraw from the transaction either. Let him pay the fees.
