Sold a few games last night and of course had a few time wasters

Anyway one sold to someone with 0 feedback, and didnt pay straight away like the others. So left it a while and messaged them (because i want to do it all in one trip to post office) but no reply

Messaged again this morning and still nothing. Can i just cancel and relist the item? Will this person then have the ability to leave me bad feedback? Just got a feeling they had no intention of buying

Did you select instant payment required for the sales? If not then they have a few days to pay iirc.

Not everyone is online 24/7.

No thats true, though he placed his bid right at the last second

I think instant payment is for buy it now only, just annoying is all :D

Ill give it a bit longer but do still wonder if theres a downside if i cancel it

Yea the seller can cancel, but somehow yesterday a different buyer cancelled after winning to! Well requested to cancel as they lived abroad and didnt read the postage info or something!

A cancel request on eBay can only be approved if both parties agree to it. This stops buyers or sellers reneging on their commitment to buy/sell.

Imagine if a seller could cancel sales because he/she felt the winning bid wasn't high enough. Or the buyer decided to cancel after the seller had purchased postage labels etc.

I had a similar issue, but luckily after messaging the buyer he paid straight away. Ebay recommend that you give buyers up to 2 days to pay:

I would just follow the recommendations on their website, they have lots of advice pages for issues you can have (I've only just started selling so I don't really know how it all works).
