I came here asking out of curiosity how others would have replied to him :)

As you seem to have suggested, get the remaining parts sent out to him ASAP or give him a refund if you cannot do that.

A refund won't happen, because I will make sure the parts are sent to him, be interesting to see if he kicks up a fuss after all of it :)

Ok people, we've already established Phate was a muppet for selling on behalf of someone else and he's owned up to that - it's not really the point of the thread though.
 
Your account, its down to you to sort out what is sent out etc.
Think the reply was abit over the top, simply asking for a list of what was missing would have been enough..
 
I have sent you a few emails about the Schumacher truck you sold me and the missing parts, bodyshell, radio crystals etc, etc, I’d appreciate it if you could get your brother to send all the parts he has either taken off, or not sent.

Is this the first email he sent you asking for the missing items?
It sounds more like he is getting annoyed and just said something to get your attention/jog you up.

I think most people would be annoyed if you bought something, and didn't receive all of it.
 
Without trying to be too much of an ass......Item was sent late, missing parts, and you can't even remember what the original listing said.

My reply would have been similar to yours but without responding to his threats. It's understandable he's peeved off about the auction, and not his fault you are selling on behalf of someone else. Unfortunately you have to take responsibility for your brothers laziness in this instance.

agreed, you share a level of responsability for the problem. personally I would have had the item held at my place and checked it worked etc before selling it to avoid all of this poo to be honest.

it's a nice reply as he is blatantly hinting at threats and I know you see his point of view, I just think rather than sitting there accepting his point of view you should seriously get on the case.
 
Other than 'Bare with me', it sounds like a good reply. It should have been bear; as you have written it, it could mean 'get naked with me'. :D

seems about the right response, he started it in the first place but then again its only understanding that after a week of waiting for it and parts not arriving that should have he might of thought you were scamming him of somesort.
