Anyone have any thoughts on these pads?

Just picked up a brake setup with these included... they wouldn't be my choice, but I'm prepared to give them a go. I'm pretty sure they are the ceramic compound - i hear these can chew up the discs quite badly?

Will be for fast road/ light track use.

Cheers :)

Relieved to see that they are up to the job! The discs/ pads have done sub 1k miles so should be ready to fit and give some abuse. Was half expecting everyone to jump on the 'EBC are ****' bandwagon. :p

Correct.
I'm using a set of yellows at the moment and they require no warming up whatsoever. Good solid bite from stone cold and even better when warmed up. They're also no noisier than OEM pads, although they can be bit on the dusty side.
Other than the dust side, there are no negative points against them IMHO.

Are these the normal Yellowstuff pads or the Yellowstuff 'R' compound?

Slight bump, has anyone had the problem of squealing with redstuff pads? They feel great, but the car sounds like a bus when stopping from low speeds. When I use them hard and get some heat into them, they are pretty much silent.

I made sure the calipers/ carriers were clean and free of rust, and applied copper ease to the 'black backing' of the pads. I estimate they've covered 1300 miles with the discs - the 'bed in coating' had already worn off when I fitted them.
