Hi All
been mulling over this since quarantine and wanted to go for a light (14kg) or less ebike. I am looking for a folding ebike with a possible ongoing one way commute of around 5km. The area is mostly flat. Not being a pro cyclist or someone who has cycled a lot in the past I wanted to get some electric assistance. Budget wise I realise there is not much choice under $1,000, doing my research I choose the Model C - which is a single gearing model and has the standard range I need

Any thoughts or advise

I commute myself about 14 miles a day by bike, not entirely sure I'd want to do it on one of those.

A touring/adventure bike may be something more suitable to that sort of distance, something like the Cube Touring Hybrid One might be more suitable.

Obviously not a folding bike though and being one way only might be too cumbersome.

To be honest. If it’s only 3 miles and flat I wouldn’t have thought you’d need assistance even without having rode for a long time.

It’s only around 15 minutes?

You’d have much more choice and save a chunk. Maybe hire/borrow a bike for a day to try it?

I was thinking this after reading you only needed to do 3 miles. Just get a regular bike and save the cash

Thank you all, one of my requirements is a folding bike and it needs to be light enough to carry. any recommendations ?
