Ebola scaremongering?

They put it down to immigrants as being the most likely source. We're just waiting for a referral to be checked.

This is actually a big problem as I highlighted earlier. We have undergone a successful campaign against this disease and in recent times things have been relaxed down only target areas with certain population demographics. This was a cost cutting measure that puts people at risk for no good reason. Sorry to hear it happened to her and I hope she does ok.

I'm surprised by the lack of 'Clipboard Man' and subsequent false flag posts in this thread. GD you dissapoint.

effectively we're in serious trouble in the West if we don't plough billions into this (as we should)

I think that in the West they can cope with handfuls of minor outbreaks, but I'm not sure if it "scales" up from there

A "facebook friend" of mine amazed me today by

1. Believing that Ebola was bringing people back to life as zombies "
2. Thinking Ebola was actually " that terrorist group killing people " who had got a scientist .......... please natural selection why are you not doing your job

very sad to read

IMO this needs to be controlled and at this point of time - money should be no object

its probably at this time more important than conflicts etc

one of those the "world needs to act together" things

will they ? I fear not

They should have quarantined as soon as it popped up. In July, China quarantined an entire city after ONE person died from plague. No messing around there. The WHO praised China for it's action.

One day. Maybe soon, we will all be stuck in our homes. Unable to go outside, only to receive goods via special delivery! Prisoners doomed to live a life behind a keyboard!!!!

The Spanish flu killed 50 - 100 million in 1918.

The population of Sub-Saharan Africa is some 900 million. Say there are 18,000 cases as of the start of this week. If the spread of Ebola continues, doubling every 3-4 weeks, it'll reach 100 million (killing say 70 million) by August-September next year. There are 100 million within relatively easy 'reach' of the virus and it's pretty unlikely they'll be a widely available and distributed vaccine available before then.

I think it's more likely than not that this Eboba epidemic will kill at least as many as the Spanish flu.

And this is the same basic data being used to reach forecasts of 1.4 million cases by January or 10,000 new cases a week by December.

I don't see it. It's been spreading for half a year now and hardly anyone has infected, and there are finally armies of medics flying out there.

i imagine if it starts getting bad the warlords will start massacring villages/closing down areas and shooting any suspected infected on sight.
