Which is the best Ebook to read my own PDF's on. I've heard that the Kindle 2 is omly compatible with amazons own format and you cant use PDF at all.?

I think their is a bit of software called Calibre which will sort it all out to be read on any format, has anyone used this. I'm inching toward the Sony at the moment, mainly because its easier to source one.

OK. I went with the Sony Prc600 touch. Its excellent, does everything I wanted and it a breeze to use with Calibre. The sony software is junk. Well pleased with it.

You having good results with PDFs with the sony and Calibre ? looking at the sony myself but must have good conversion for my PDFs.

Thnaks jay.

No problem at all, you just set Calibre to import default and export to Sony Touch/300 depending on which one you have, It then converts the PDF or anything else for that matter to EPUB. You can set what you want in the preferences. Really straight forward. All the ones I have done PDF/Lit have come out just fine. The sony dispalys PDF's ok anyway, I havent had any hassle so far, but its easier to use calibre to convert to LTR or EPUB.
