If i am to buy an Intel server board which is ECC registered... - will normal unregistered sticks of PC133 SDRAM work correctly?

Its an Intel STL2 Dual PIII board.

Probably not, you'll need to shop around for some ECC RAM.

ECC registered is cheap in France. Expect to pay upto £200 per gig for that type of memory (in UK).

SDRAM, PC133 • CL=3 • Registered • ECC • 133MHz • 3.3V • 128Meg x 72

A strange choice of board.... imo. Looked at Tyan.?

i didn't realise it was that strange...

its just that thats an option to replace a current server board thats died

It pc133 dual pIII 800mhz slot1...

And i can't for the life of me find a replacement!
