I've been through the phase of trying to be different. In the end I realised classic mens styles and colours were classic for a reason. So rather than try to stand out with something eccentric I find it's better to stand out by the fit of the clothes, quality of them and understanding how to compliment colours well. For example a well fitting pair of non-faded jeans, a great pair of tan hand made brogues, white oxford cotton button down shirt, a nice watch and wayfarer sunglasses. That's just an example but the point is that I found the classics are classic for a reason and it's better to stand out with quality, fit and finish rather than something eccentric. In fact limiting the number of colours to two or three and keeping things plain will make you stand out from people. Stand out because of style, not because of fashion.
For example, a good pair of shoes or boots (chukka's or chelseas) will stand out in a good way. A good quality, well fitting, jacket can do wonders; a peacoat, leather moto racer, a Harrington, maybe something in suede) . Also... get fit. Any clothes look better on someone who is fit.
I'd suggest following a few vlogs such as Teaching Mens Fashion, Real Men Real Style, Alpha M, The Modest Man, etc. They do try to push products they are paid to, but the basic ideas are sound. I appreciate I've probably given you the complete opposite answer to what you expected
But if you do want something with a little twist then one suggestion is 1likenoother.com (one like no other). Only wear one eccentric item. Any more and it starts to overload the senses.
