Eclipse Broadband

Was looking at the cheapest way to get broadband and this seems the best, has anyone used them?

I can't get cable and I just wanted a cheap, unlimited provider, this is only a tenner plus the basic line package from BT.

Try asking on ADSLguide.org.uk, if I remeber rightly there were some pretty upset users with eclipse.

I have been with them for a long time. They currently throttle bit torrent which is a pain. Service has been on and off recently lots of people leaving eclipse according to ADSLguide message boards.

I requested my MAC code 2 weeks ago and I have had a reply saying please complete some details sent this back a week ago and still nothing :confused:

But don't let me put you off

Indeed there is some very upset people with eclipse and im one of them will be off their service on friday after over 3 years the service has totally degraded since kingston took over it

(random disconnections, slow speeds and dismal capped peak rates) be careful if you chose them.........

go to nildram they rule! erm also got a mate with eclipse and he has never had a problem, except his router

I am still awating my mac but Im going to Zen we will see how good they are I have heard they are good but have a download cap which I am not to bothered about, I will let you know how they turn out if I ever get this damn code.

Been on Eclipse at home since late 2003 and since MaxDSL the quality of service has gone through the floor. Not sure if it's improved recently though as I'm at Uni now.

We've got over 30 sites with Eclipse and their tech support is responsible for my hair loss.

They've started moving customers to LLU (probably Tiscali's, but unsurprisingly they won't admit whose). Anyone that got moved experienced pretty shocking performance afterwards, anyway.

I left after my first month.

Seconded, not impressed at the moment with MaxDSL using Eclipse. It might just be my line, but my SNR goes from 15dB to 2/3dB :eek:

well im now connected with my new isp Aquiss so far so good

760k/s in the afternoon on newsgroups and was doing the same 10 minutes ago :eek:

so much for eclipse tech support saying its not their fault and the exchange is overloaded ....p2p is back to 2mb speeds and not 30k/s can get almost full speed on ie7 downloads as well.
i really cannot believe how ive put up with eclipse`s shoddy service for so long lets hope aquiss stays like this and im more than happy to pay 32.99pm (officemax 45gb peak cap)

Btw whoever recommended aquiss thanks a lot (carnt remember which post it was)

odd, eclipse seems fine here.
its looking like those on the LLU systems experiance slower connections rather than the ones not.
