Does anybody know if eclipse shapes p2p traffic, just been on various torrent sites and my speed will not pull down at more than 35kb/s but my true speed that i pull down at is normally 407kb/s,i am on the eclipse evo 4 package. It is just strange that last friday my speed was 407kb/s on torrent sites now it is rubbish.

Just tried a couple of torrents and can get 540KB/s on the OpenOffice torrent but there is talk of throttling of torrents on the ADSLGuide forums, best off contacting Tech Support as on the website there is only mention of shaping, not straight out throttling.

(Option 3)

Cheers Phil99 help appreciated,if they are gonna throttle torrents there is no use in me having internet.hahaha :)

Thought they only did it during peak time?

Same here, but according to someone on ADSLGuide they spoke to Tech Support and they are/are going to throttle torrents instead of just shaping...not sure of the accuracy of that though, best off contacting tech support I guess.

No big, I can live with 40kb\s on torrents (and theres always protocol stealthing). I was going to migrate to the £15 per month package (option 1 I believe).

Changed my filter this morning and back upto 350kb/s hooray,Phil99 if they start throttling torrents i am offski to yet another isp.:D
