Just wondered what people's views are of Eclipse

I have been with them since I moved to London just over a year ago and up until a few weeks ago I didnt really have any problem at all - but the reliability has gone through the floor recently - suddenly losing connection for minutes or hours for no reason.

I have my router bios backed up and know within the router status of that its definitely an exchange / ISP problem with authentication (well this si the first thing that fails anyway) even though the line looks as though its working properly at 8Mb

Im about to move into a permanent flat (around the corner in SW6) and just dont feel confident enough to continue with Eclipse on recent weeks experience.

I was with Zen before I moved and they were ultra reliable but they only do an 8Mb service I seem to recall, and I was looking for a 16mb+ service for my personal connection (I have to have a seperate line and router for work and that will be standard 8mb BT)

Any one have any recommendations or experience that could assist cheers
 
Get rid of Eclipse, they are absolutely pap!

I moved address with them and the service i encountered was nothing short of dire.

Customer service is one of the worst ive encountered too.

Hanging on the phone for an hour at times.
*edit* i went to zen and all was well.

I'm now with sky and couldn't be happier :D

What LLU providers do you have available to you? Is there cable in that area?

It didnt like my post code (SW6 1RW) so I had to go with my phone number

the new place is probably 10 minutes away from me (walking) but have no idea where relevant exchanges are

Fulham (WRFULM) - NTL /Telewest not available (or Zen)

(according to the map I am in the next block to the exchange currently and moving less than 1Km away albeit 4 floors up lol)

Assuming that isn't a massive road and goes through 2 exchanges you have:


Be Unlimited is available in your area
Bulldog is available in your area
TalkTalk (CPW) is available in your area at up to 8Mbps
Sky Broadband / Easynet is available in your area
Homechoice is available in your area
Tiscali is available in your area
Orange is available in your area

cheers mate - was going to look into Be - I guess they are very reliable?
