Hopefully i will be getting one of the above cases. but i am after some advice.....

either way i go, i should hopefully be getting the side window too, so i will try and light up the insides (preferably blue or red)

what would i need to give adequate lighting? if you have done this yourself to one of the above cases please post a pic as well as what you have used so i can get a better idea of the final look

thanks in advance, hope you can help

Well you can either go LED's and Cathodes or go for UV components and UV Cathodes.

Couple of LED fans and a Cathode or two should be sufficent for a very bright and effective display. :p

If you check the cases gallery there are a few pictures of peoples eclipses setup like this.

i think id rather go cathodes and led than uv.....

some of the cases look good, but how many things would i need?

Depends what you want to get really.

One cathode will light it up nicely, two will have it really bright all over.

Add the fans if you want a brighter glow, although LED fans are normally more noisey than the non LED versions.

ok cool, so pretty much a couple of cathode tubes near the window. say top and bottom? will light it up nicely....what would the effect be with a different colour on top and bottom.....

so if i wanted to keep the case quiet and not change to led fans, what are the stock case fans like in these or are there quieter alternatives?

I have no idea TBPH.

I'm stuck with Thermaltake shoddiness at present, but have been thinking about some 120mm Nexus fans or the Papst fans that are sold on here.

Unsure - Although somebody on here probably has plenty of idea's and I'd be willing to listen.

doesnt it? so what fans would you recommend?

I ordered one eclipse on monday, with 2 scythe 120mm 800rpm fans (<9db noise) should be quiet as a mouse mime. Waiting for me at reception as i wasn't here when it arrived today. Next day delivery my ass.

let me know how you get on with those....am ideally after something quiet

in the mean time, any other recommendations would be much appreciated

cool, should be ordering soon, I continously hear good things about the Eclipse/Mirage......or is there another alternative considering the Eclipse with a window is my budge

Got my eclipse yesterday, spent about an hour and a half being really careful not to screw up my computer. Did the trick, worked first time. Only thing i did wrong was put the LEDs in the motherboard backwards so they dont light up.

Couple of nags about this case.

1: The front PCI slot IS useful, but due to the size of the case, not all the cables from it reach to the right part of the motherboard.

2: BIG case. hope it isn't a problem when moving it around between uni and home.

3: Power LED plug is for 3 pins (one for gnd, one blank then one for signal), but my motherboard only has 2 pins for the LED, so ive set up one of the hdd lights for the power, and the other hdd light for the hdd status.

Besides these points, i really like this case. The finish of the sides is brilliant.

I have some shots of when i was moving the stuff from one case to another. Can put them up later when resized and reduced file size.

Some pics of mine just completed over the weekend after the upgrade.

Im chuffed with it, not sure about everyone else, could be personal taste lol

And yes, i got tired to wards the end so i need to clean up some lose cables.
