Is anyone on Economy Energy who has gotten their WHD yet?

My father is in the ESA support group and has taken to wrapping up in a quilt rather than putting the gas on.

They say it will take up to March 2019 but what is the point giving him money when its not cold?

They're the worst energy company out there, don't expect any customer service or quick resolution, sorry that's not much help, but you may as well be realistic about what to expect from them.

Economy Energy owe Ofgem about £15m and are not paying back 1,000's of people who are in credit. I wouldn't hold out much hope of your father receiving anything soon.

The grant isn't given by Economy Energy. It's given by Charis Grants who do nPower, British Gas, etc..

Good luck with them, from having worked at another supplier the stories I've heard about them are absolutely appalling.

All suppliers have until the end of March to pay the WHD, that's just how it is. Economy will probably hang onto it for as long as physically possible. The one I worked for used to stagger payments to make sure people didn't blitz it in a month then come asking for help.
