Appears i have it! Started last Thursday and just back from the docs today after ECG at the hospital etc and been confirmed....more tests to come.

Anyone else got it, had it? How do you deal with it?

I have it. It seems to be sort of stress related, but it isn't as 'reliable' as that. Other than the discomfort, it doesn't appear serious. :)

Yeah I have it on and off, usually when I run for a train or something. It's quite scary, but apparently not dangerous. It feels like your heart is stopping and starting and flopping about like a fish in a bucket and jumping into your throat, so not the most pleasant.

Once I had it constantly for 15mins where every heartbeat felt out of rhythm. Internet paranoia to the rescue so I thought I was going into atrial fibrillation and went to A&E, where they see plenty of whey-faced paranoids like me every night :p

As above, it seems to be mostly stress related (I have really bad anxiety so it ties in with that for me). I'm testing a theory that lots of walking and easy exercise helps, but that's probably just because it helps reduce stress for me or something. I've been told to not worry about it, because that'll just stress me out more and make it worse. Oddly enough, I found listening to metal and other new music that gets me amped up takes my mind off it when I'm powering up a hill to catch the train. I work in sales so it's a bit weird when it happens mid-pitch when you aren't expecting it!

Yep, have it. Had the EEG a few years ago, supposedly it doesn't have much correlation with serious heart problems and can be ignored.

I don't get them anywhere near as often as I did when I was 20, but they pass after a couple of seconds. The discomfort is there and gone (literally) in a heartbeat, and I don't bother paying any notice.

Yep me too, picked up when my lungs collapsed in my mid 20's. Nobody seemed that interested in it to be honest. I can't feel it but my pulse is often all over the place.

/in with potentially dangerous medical advice before thread lock

Cut your own heart out, scrub with bleach, put it back in. Sorted. Trust me.

(I have it too - nothing to worry about :) )

After looking this up, I think I may have this as well. Now and then I'll have an episode where my heartbeat feels "floppy" as described.

My attitude was that it wasn't painful, just a bit odd and slightly uncomfortable so I've ignored it.

That's the advice I was given by the docs

Are you sure you're not me?

Oh, you and your crazy love for statistics Devrij!

It's going up every post! Soon we'll be able to say 1% of OcUK members experience ectopic heartbeats and PVCs, and thus warn prospective joiners of the risk of discomfort/paranoia they face!

Had heart problems for years. Been getting Ectopic beats for 15 years or more, sometime really bad, more often than not just every minute or so. I'm also quite bradycardic with a resting pulse that hovers around 40bpm.

Quite often they will just disappear on there own, other times they kill you is seconds...LOL only kidding;):):)
