ECU Light On

Hi all,

Ok I installed my alpine HU into the focus last night and on the way to work the ECU light came on.

I haven't had time for someone to read what code is thrown up but is it likely any connection problem/fault with the HU could cause the ECU light to show?

Press and hold the odo reset then key off and back on and wait for test, release button, press again and it will tell you the codes after running through the dashboard diagnosis mode.

I tried that and it says 'none' :-s

Just checked it again, on the fifth press it says 'FFFF', the 6th it says 'noNE' and then goes on to the digital speedo

So got a mate to plug in into the OBCII thingy and it was showing Turbo charger fault.

He cleared the code and the light has stayed off so far, I haven't gone for full boost yet however. Starting to scare me a little bit, because if the turbo has had it its not going to be cheap.

Anyone know of a way of checking the turbo is alright, without removing?
