Ed Milliband really is a numpty...

He intentionally wanted to look like a fool?

Do you seirously think Ed Milliband is prime minister material?

No, I don't think he wanted to look like a fool. I think he wanted it so that a broadcaster wouldn't be able to use an answer he didn't want on the news, and the broadcaster wouldn't broadcast repeating answers. I wonder when it got broadcast on the news how exactly it went out?

I don't really care about politics (liars and crooks with their own personal agenda), I'm just making an observation.

Would it not have been best to just not do the interview then, than come across as a complete dolt?

Your scenario makes no sense.

This doesn't appear to be a normal interview to me, it appears to be a rapid question and answer thing where they will use snippets to show on the news. In that scenario it makes total sense. Don't get me wrong, it's a really crappy thing to do, but it's the only way I see why he did that. As I said, I bet the whole thing was not broadcast and they only showed a singular answer.

Playing the whole thing he does indeed look like a tool hence my "wow." I put at the beginning. I'm not arguing with you, I'm trying to understand why it was like that.

I think this thread is posted in a reckless & provocative way & think the posters should sit round the table forget the rhetoric & negotiate.

It's clearly this, and I bet it goes on more often that people realise, it's just that typically you only see the 30 second snippet of one answer being given.

Any other examples of a leader of a major political party behaving the exact same way then? As in, like a hilarious broken record/robot who repeats the same answer for every different question? Find many more examples and i might agree that it is was a well thought out tactic.

I think you people are trying to find a reason that isnt there.

He is just an inarticulate buffoon.

Its annoying as he wouldn't have even thought of that himself, instead some PR person would have told him to say it over and over to try and force the point across. Thats all that politics boils down to sadly.

Makes you think.. Will people be put off voting for the Labour Party, because of the fool.

I suspect not :(
