Edges cut off screen when using TV as 2nd monitor

I'm having a problem where my TV will not display the image from my pc properly. cuts off about 5% or so, its zoomed in too far if you will.

I had this before, and I fixed it, but I cant for the life of me remember how.

I COULD just adjust the scale until it sort of fits, but then its not displaying the image properly at its native res, so I'd rather not do that. + I know I sorted it out properly in the past, before I reinstalled windows.

TV is a 1080p samsung. 5 series I think.
run off a 290x with a HDMI connection

Any ideas?

Ati use overscan I think its called in catalyst control software
Not sure about nvidia

Should be an option for overscan on your TV too. On my Sharp TV the option toggles between "dot by dot" and "full". Most TVs will (or at least should) have this option somewhere.
