Hi, I got my new pair of edifier R1600T today and tested it straight away the sound is brilliant, clear and bass is just enough. Although I don't know if its just me or the speaker because the left speaker seems to be louder than the right speaker (with the controls).

the speakers are in a triangular shape (idk the right term) and fair distance from where I'm sitting. The speakers are at least 5 1/2 inches away from the wall, the speakers are currently on sitting on my desk.

Thanks.

Yeah I'm very pleased its a shame that I can't test it at high volume.

I re-inserted the wires we'll see if it'll be the same after few hours of listening. I kinda feel like replace the speaker wire not because of this issue but I feel like trying quality wires to see if it'll make any difference in sound quality.

Don't go spending a lot of money on speaker cables it really won't make a big difference. The cables with the Edifier are fine quality so np there. Golden rule is spend no more than 10% of the value of the item, so ~£5 tops.

When I was a bit younger and more naiive I spent quite a lot of money on cables until I realised the difference is minimal at best. The only good thing is that said cables were of such quality they are still going strong today

I mean yeah i know spending a lot on cables is stupid if you're really not in to this audio thing. I was thinking of spending just about £5 tops tbh not gonna go over £10.

though can you recommend a good cable at around £5? Maplin shop is near my house.
