I'm looking at buying the Edifier R1600T Studio Plus 2.0 Monitors
Are they any good for the price? and what's the bass like?
Thanks.

Yes they are good vfm, especially while they are on sale. Bass wise they are quite good using a equalizer but not earth shattering given their size.

If bass is important to you then look elsewhere - tho the bass does become a bit more substantial after you've put 50-100 hours of music through them its never going to be a major feature of these speakers.

They do a great job even ignoring price (theres speakers a lot more expensive that don't do as well) of a well controlled/balanced neutral sound throughout the whole range that you can tweak to taste if needed, fantastic value for money. I highly reccomend them in general but again if bass is important to you they will be a bit underwhelming on that count but brilliant for people who like a good room filling volume without annoying the neighbours.

EDIT: As a side note something to bare in mind that they need a bit of space around the rear port - if theres not atleast ~5 inches clearance behind them they tend to sound "constrained".

I just ordered these and I already have the m-audio av40's and found them very accurate but tiring to listen to for too long so I hope I'll be happy with these edifier's. These are beautifull little speakers for the money cracking deal this was..
