I have for my sins an Edimax 7727int pci wireless n adapter currently using the latest drivers from manufactures web site which happen to be ralink 3.0.3.0
dated 04/08/2009, but have noticed that on Ralinks site they now have driver 3.1.14.0 dated jan this year. I am using win 7 64 bit os wireless config with card and not edimax's software. My question is can i update to the chipset manufactures drivers rather than the card manufactures outdated drivers ?
I believe i can, just wanted to confirm this? Only use this for wife and kids online, always use cat5e when gaming. Just seems connection alittle hit and miss at times, connected to a bt hh2 type a with modded external antenna's.
