Edit image size for me please

Can anyone edit this image size into 1440x900 for a wallpaper? I don't have Photoshop as I've formatted recently and really cannot be bothered to go and look for my disc, wherever it is.

Paint.NET is free, and you can do it easily via that.

It'd increase the pictures resolution without killing the quality? Either way will give it a go thank you.

Bumping that up to 1440x900 will degrade quality. It's far too small to not lose resolution when you increase its dimensions

I don't think that'd maintain the image quality anywhere near as well as Photoshop etc. though?

If I have an image I want to use for a wallpaper but it's not big enough, I crop it to the right proportions, put a 1px white border on it, and centre it on a black/grey background.

Looks nice.

What this thread really needs is for some more people to enlarge the image even though he's already been linked to a native high resolution version.
