Does anyone know what it is called. I missed the name. A classic D'n'B track that I've been looking for for a while.

Cheers

I really dont like pendulum, they are jsut too commercial, doesnt seem to be claasic d'n'b at all

What a snobbish thing to say! Good music is good music.

People don't like Pendulum because their first album was very successful. Had it failed, half the people who don't like it would be screaming blue murder about how "it fell under the radar."

There's loads of dnb albums that could have had the same popularity and "commercial" tag thrown on them had they been as massive as Pendulum - DJ Fresh's "Escape From Planet Monday," TC's "Evolution" and High Contrast's "High Society + Tough Guy's Don't Dance" instantly spring to mind, as do countless other awesome albums.

Hold Your Colour is ok, but there's only about 3 or 4 tracks that I really like on there. It's nice to hear Slam when it's dropped in a club because they rarely play dnb in the places I go to. It is quite annoying when you see people go "omg, I love dnb, Pendulum is awesome" - yeah it's a good album and they know how to keep a crowd going but there's tonnes of better dnb about (I happen to prefer darker stuff anyways) - check the drum and bass arena podcast if you're into dnb - they play some quite cool stuff on there

edit: Slam is not a "classic dnb track" either - it's only been out 5 minutes and it's nowhere near as solid as some of the other tracks on that album

I don't like it because i don't like how it sounds, even if it is good music. Its not that i am jealous that they have made a successful album at all as i just buy the stuff as oppose to making it....

People judge dnb on these well known albums but no nothing about the wider genre, all i am saying is its the oasis of the "rock" world.

One of the biggest problems with Pendulum is that they are ridiculously overplayed. I remember when the album first came out on the internet, and I had a listen and thought it was pretty good. But now I can't stand the sight of it. And as has been said, Pendulum are most certainly not classic drum and bass.

Thanks for the trackname. Also for all the replies. A track can be a classic for many reasons not only for the headnodding trainspotters! I've been there as I'm into US Garage and have had many opinions about tracks that once they've broke into mainstream I've went off them. They are not any worse a track as when you hear them again later more ofter than not you remember the first time you heard it!!!
In this case it was a great night out and that track was the track that reminds me of the night (not a d'n'b club in sight!).

You a, make-a no sense!

Surely in terms of music a classic would have to be the following:

Having lasting significance or worth; enduring.

Rather than confirming to a class system, etc.
