..created a new thread just to discuss the EE announcement and not the sell off of the bandwith..

Just been reading through some of the bumf that has been sent through regarding the Everything Everywhere brand (EE) which will be rebranding all orange and t-mobile stores.

Looks like 16 cities will be getting 4G networks installed before Christmas then an upgrade to provide 98% coverage by the end of 2014.

Also looks like 4G services will not be available on Orange or T-Mobile but will have a new EE contract.

Personally I am very interested in this, because I think we all know that the iPhone 5 will have 4G, but, also concerned as I am on a T-Mobile F&F discount plan which I would loath to give up which would probably be the case.

It's going to take a while for all the information to come out.

What would be good to know is will 3G improve, ie, if we dont pay for 4G will we get a full speed 3G service wherever we get a signal :-/

Interesting times..

Won't you piggyback onto the 4G network and be throttled to 3G speeds?

But then ok, I hadn't thought that all devices were compatible with 4G.

why would it be the case? I certainly hope not!

If they only launch 4G on an EE plan it's very doubtful we could move to it and keep the FF discount.

They have been trying to get rid of people on it for years by offering less than they did previously in upgrades and retention deals.
