EE Multi SIM card

When I got my new sim card from EE, it was with a temporary phone number until my old number was transferred to it. My old number got transferred almost instantly. But that temp number still shows in About device/Status even though my old number is transferred. It's not a big deal but would be nice to see my actual phone number in there. Anything I can do about that?

Also, just registered my account with the EE website. It says 'Device: Samsung Galaxy S2' with my actual phone number. Why would it not say Samsung Galaxy S6?
 
I don't think there's much you can do, other than a new SIM.

As for the EE website, it should have updated when you ordered you new phone but sometimes doesn't. You can change it manually. I don't believe it has any bearing on your service other than provide correct documents for your phone via the websites help system.

I had this problem too when I transfer my number only way to correct the number into the sim is borrow someone iPhone and you can edit the number.
Already done this twice works perfect.

Put my sim in an iphone and it can edit the number? This is something unique to the iphone? I'm seeing some people tonight, not sure if any of them have an iphone.

Ah, my nephew has one, seeing him on monday I think.


Apparently, "Settings > Messages > iMessage (turn off, then on) it tries to validate wrong number and after a few minutes it changes to the correct one". Thanks Strawberry, hopefully that will change it.
