just wondering other peoples thoughts of ee, based on previous tmobile/orange custom?
ive been with tmobile for over 8 years now. was always considered a loyalty customer, got put through to a loyalty team, got competative discounts to beat others that matched it.. when i phone up now they cannot even match the prices theyre giving new customers who buy online never mind give me one cheaper.
a year gone january my 2 year contract ran out and i was put onto a 12 months sim only deal with the intention of upgrading to a handset contract once i decided what i wanted as i was told i could do this at anytime. i stayed on this deal and have since. january i got a text saying i could upgrade but ignored it asuming my contract would roll onto a month to month like sky and so forth do. now since my phone is well over 3 years old i decided to move from a sim only back to a handset.
upon calling asking what they could do for me, i basically got told they had nothing, if i wanted a deal then check the offers they have for everyone online.
he said due to my current loyalty discount i have reducing my priceplan from £32 to £21, cause im currently in contract i cannot look at deals below £32 as they disregard the loyalty bonus as it would not be passed over. i asked about how my loyalty stands, and was told that no discount would apply to my new one and the price would be whatever offers they have available to everyone. i questioned how im somehow even in a contract and questioning staying with them he started threatening me with additional charges if i was to cancel out a contract i was never in.
it was only when i asked for proof of a contract agreement he backed down and claimed a mistake, but then altered my account to be out of a contract since january, which now makes me apparently not in contract with them despite paying them each month and therefore ive now apparently lost 8 years of loyalty(not that it meant anything now anyways) and i would have to start over again with a new contract if i wished, due to being out of contract for over 3 months.
ontop of this when i rang up to ask for a pac code, was told i will be charged daily for it if not used up until 30 days so unless i had a new operator lined up she recomended i wait till i had. asked my reason for leaving tmobile and once explained, she said my loyalty would stand, and then insisted on transfering me to an upgrades team, i then got transfered to a retentions team, then back to cancelations when none had any deals at all to offer me or that of matching one i found online, they could only give me a deal on a sim only.
got a phonecall back off the women i initially spoke to, and she explained how she was puzzled nobody could help. i explained how dissapointed i was with the company and she recomended i go in store to try and find another deal, but not continue to phone up anymore as it will only waste their time. this obviously got my back up abit considering id only phoned up once previously which was the call above, and the only reason for the phonecall the second time was to cancel and it was her who insisted i do the rounds again to be left feeling let down yet again and a severe lack of respect.
i used to love tmobile, would always recomend them for their service, signal and prices. it seems since its ee, the whole thing is a shambles. seems now theyre peaking on top they can treat their customers as easy come easy go.
the whole reason i was upgrading weas because my signal keeps dropping off and i fail to even get internet unless i flight mode on and off. now ive read more into it i dont even believe it could be my phone that is causing this but the fact of ee. a lot of pages on the internet of peoples signals be it data or calls being a lot poorer since the ee merge which i feel the same.
does anyone else feel the same? i would be happy with the online deals prices, but the fact they couldnt even match the deals over the phone that theyre offering themselves online, even on the brink of leaving. with the lack of respect i was given and my current situation with my signal im seriously considering an alternative provider.
on previous contracts with tmobile i would tell them my needs and they would cater a contract around them needs yet ee cannot provide one offer.
