Certainly intrigued with the Apple TV option. I can’t speak for others but if Sky had their full offering available on an ATV (inc. UHD) I’d probably sub up.

Especially since the sky stream doesn’t do frame rate or dynamic range matching like the Apple TV does which puts me off the stream.

There’s no reason Sky couldn’t release an app to give their full content.

This is it. If you can have this alongside any other apps in the App Store (which i suspect won’t be an issue) then this could be the all in one solution for a lot of people.

I do wonder though if the EE app specifically will do the frame rate/dynamic range stuff because that’s their end goal here: watch all your content (inc. ATV+ Netflix, Prime) within that EE app. You’d have to say it would right given how deep they are integrating with Apple on this…

I am just going to assume EE/BT know what they're doing here with the Apple TV box since the BT Sport app with 4K HDR and Atmos was flawless on it.

Hoping they release their offering by the end of my current Sky contract.

Will this require BT/EE broadband? I'm with Sky Stream which is fine with Aquiss broadband but more competition like this would be good just hope it isn't locked to being on a specific ISP.
