OK Linux people, how do I get my SMP client working again!? I noticed last night when moving back over to Linux that my PC wasn't doing very much - had a quick look at the log and it wasn't running at all!

Ran the finstall script again and same thing, didn't run. Do I need to get the latest finstall script?

If you followed the thread on this site on how to install the linux system then this is what is needed to start the smp client, In the command console and the foldingathome directory type "./folding start" without the quotation marks.

Ahh, when I ran the finstall script again, I believe I neglected to run that command. My bad :p :o

Cheers bud. Shame I can't do it from here :(

FaH is set to start at boot, I just neglected to run the command which tells FAH to go lol.

As for SSHing into my rig - no can do, it's in Windows. I can SSH into that and restart it, but then I'd be snookered as my Linux isnt set up for remote log in yet :D

One last thing Billy, I am having trouble sharing a partition across my home LAN. I followed the instructions in the Ubuntu uber-FAQ using Samba but when I connect to the Linux pc from another computer I get a Login prompt and when I enter my username and password it doesn't accept it. There is no error, just the login box pops back up. Any ideas?
