Eeerrm my key doesnt work....

I first noticed this when my glovebox locked itself the other day and my key wont open it, didnt find it too suspicious really i assume the lock has slipped or something. Then today, well just now really, i come out of a shop and go to blip the car......nothing, check the remote all is well so i assume maybe the battery has gone or similar so i go to open it manually, key wont turn. Go to passenger side, try, key wont turn, try the boot in desperation and yep wont turn, so i sit down and think logically. I settle on the main central locking issue being a bad connection on the battery or some other wiring so i 'bounce' it and sure as sugar it blips fine and i go home (after popping the hood and checking the battery connectors). I try the manual lock again to see if it was some sort of no power lockout and the key wont turn. I cant see why this would be, i assume maybe peugoet replaced the ignition barrel and key and reprogrammed the alarm at some point and never bothered with the cars other locks. This sound about right to anyone?

Try re-programing the fob, doubt the barrel would have been re-placed...

Works in the ignition and blips fine but wont manually unlock any of the doors, boot or glovebox.

So you would say that they have changed 2 doors a boot and the glovebox and NOT the ignition rather than just the ignition :confused:

the key doesnt turn at all, only 1 key. Sounds like u may be right, how do you mean hold it there to remove the deadlock?
