I'm thinking GTX 295..

I'm also thinking, I surrender! :p
The chase is over :(

Edit: scratch that, the unit size + client type makes me think i7...

My point stands.

Ho ho ho :D Yea it's an i7 but I'm in the process of getting rid of my 620, 810 and Q9450 so my points will drop back down to what they were before once that's all sorted. However, I'm using F@H to test the overclock on it, holding nice and steady at 4GHz, 77C :D

As I said in the other thread, VTEC JUST KICKED IN Y0 :D :p

What cooling are you using for it? My temps are decidedly not healthy at the moment (H50) but I can't bring myself to lower the clocks (I hit 95ºC occasionally ), still waiting for the Swiftech XT to get in stock before I can get some proper watercooling going!

How are you hitting 97C!?

I was only at 85 or so when running at 4.2GHz and that was using IntelBurnTest, folding was usually 5-6 degrees cooler.

EDIT: I used the H50 too, two fans [non-matching :(] in a push-pull.

Something far wrong there Miniyazz. I barely hit 90C at 4.2GHz on air. Currently at 60C while Folding (triple rad and a Heatkiller LT) :p

I probably need to reseat the CPU block or something. I'm on 1.3V (1.296 after vdroop :D), which I don't think is particularly high, but my room doesn't have the best airflow/temperatures despite my window being open 24/7 (and radiator off). Room temperature currently 22.5ºC, highest core @ 88ºC - but drawing in relatively cool air from near the window. It is push-pull, mismatched fans.
I'm hoping it won't be more than a couple of weeks before I get my triple rad up and running, otherwise I'd probably try reseating it - but I haven't the effort at the moment. I'm counting on the improved thermal management of the i7 chips to save me if it all creeps up a little too far!

It's possible - I'm using CoreTemp v0.99.3, which is of course using the motherboard sensors. I don't have any means of measuring it more accurately though.

In other news, just bought the CPU block and £40  worth of hose and connectors.

95°c wimp real men push the limit :p
hmmtemps.jpg

I really need to see why my temps are so high @4.1Ghz :D

I'm sorry, I just can't fine-tune it that much :( :p

Although once when I'd just moved the position of the case, it did hit 97º and rising before I quickly jury-rigged a clearer air tunnel to the window!

Might put the H50 back on it, it was 30°C cooler with that than my current setup that I had in my little Lian Li :( but this 240 rad worked lovely in my little case only ever got to low 80°c and this case has better placing for rad and is pap :(

Push pull H50. I'm incredibly surprised with it's performance, it's fantastic :D
