eep, lost the remote!

Me being an idiot, I went out this morning and came back, unlocked my front door, put the keys on the table and realised that the remote was missing from the keyring

The central locking died a few weeks ago, so it won't unlock the car just mess around with the alarm and suchlike, but even so I don't want some ******* to find it on the street and know which car will be an easy target :\
So how do I disable remote locking on a Rover 214?

I know I have a ridiculous amount of paranoia about it

Ah well, I guess it will be ok as the central locking is broken, but I was going to fix that tomorrow and now I'll end up leaving it broken methinks.
