ok type it 3 times now trying shorter.

i have a eero6 and grandstrem 801 voip unit with talktalk on fibre (as per advice from here i connected a small router i had to the eero to give me 5 wired lan connections)
all fine.

unfortunatly i have a vehicle diagnostic unit that updates periodically via wireless and found out yesterday it hasnt been doing so due to abnormal wireless connection.

its requirements are wpa2 and 2.4ghz wireless connection.
i can get the eero to switch wpa3 off but cant alter the speed (and to be frank i want faster speeds for normal internet)

thought i had sorted it when i found online a

AC3200

wavlink unit that appears to be able to connect at different speeds at the same time and seperate passwords for them. but realised it only has 3 lan connections and im not sure if i can connect the voip adapter to it.

so problem
if i connect that unit to the eero6 , i could in theory connect existing router to it daisy chaining it.
if i did so would the eero6 still be the problem ?

ie INTERNET/eero6 with voip adapter/wavlink or something compatable/existing router (for lan connections)/diagnostic kit using 2.4 g wpa2.
or would the eero kybosh the lot?.

sorry for the essay but really confused on a side note drove to daughters and connected to her sky network older and updated first time.

(there is a option for the diagnostic to connect via a mobile phone but havent worked out how to do that with my samsung a12 yet :))))

thanking you in advance for any help.

There are plenty who can offer a better answer, but i will say. Don't get a no-name cheap chinese brand router, they are ridden with security vulnerabilities. Seperating 2.4 and 5Ghz onto different SSID's is a a pretty basic feature of a WiFi Router.

yep i understand that and are open to suggestions the one thing i dont want to screw up is the phone, i have limited knowledge and just want it to work:)
could the voip adapter be plugged into a lan port on a normal router or does it need a dedicated port as per the eero?

other query is the grandstream 801 has been flashing since installed which i gather means voicemail..shame i dont have anything to access it spent ages looking on net at voip phones wondering if buying one with feature could be just plugged in ....i know another question for another day :)

sorted thanks, temp turned of wpa3 in settings then in settings /troubleshooting it shows different problems and how to solve. first one cant connect to 5g press that and it says you click the box at the bottom to pause 5g back to 2.4 for 10 mins to connect.... worked straight away:)
thank diablo for responding.

ps all in eero menu
