Efficient, free, CD/DVD copier?

Hey guys,

I don't copy a lot of DVD’s but I've just used Nero 8 on Vista for the first time to copy a video DVD and it took about 30mins! That’s not right is it

Maybe it was because it's a video DVD? Normally for CD's etc, Nero’s fine…

Anyway, are they any good freebies out there that will copy video DVD's/data DVD/CD etc faster than Nero?

img burn is a good program, if you were doing a 1:1 copy, i.e. DVD to DVD then the source drive may have had riplock enabled in its firmware to prevent fast read speeds and to keep the drive quiet for movie watching.

Not sure if deepburner copies cd to cd / dvd to dvd but its a coll free program to burn stuff.

There is a free and a pro version available.

Yeah - used it a couple of times now and I really like it

Atm I've been creating an image from source, and then burning it to disc. That's fine, but is there any 'direct-burn' option that I've missed?
