I have a recipie which calls for an hour marinade of chicken in a mixtue of egg, oil, salt and cornflour.

Quite often after I get back from work, i'm not in the mood to start the marinade and wait an hour. Question is, can I leave the chicken marinading in the egg for say 24 hours?

I know with other marinades it's not a problem, but i'm not sure how the egg will be if left out/in the fridge.

Anyone have any idea?

Yep, is Chinese. Spiced honey chicken. Posted a pic in the Show off your dish thread many moons ago.

Quick version of recipie -

above marinade for 200ish gm of chicken
coat in cornflour
deepfry chicken (I prefer stir frying because of health reasons and the fact that the taste isn't that much affected)
Stir fry 1 tablespoon of garllic paste with a few dried red chillies (cut up) for a few seconds.
Stir fry the whites of 3 spring onions with 1-2 tablespoon dark soy sauce, 2 1/2 tbsp ketchup and 2 1/2 tsp of honey for a few seconds.
Add in the chicken and coat in the sauce.
Add in the greens of the spring onion.

Eat with rice :)

bsoltan - no idea about benefits. Asking for the sake of saving time when I come home from work.

Looks like it'll be fine. Thanks all :)
