Ehiem 1250 pump, Any good? anyone using it?

Hi guys, just looking at this pump for a watercooling setup, was wandering if anyone is using it and their thoughts on it?

Been using mine for 18 months, still going strong. Its nice and quiet (although you'll need to mount it well otherwise it vibrates the case) and I found it to be a good compromise between the 1048 and 1260.

I haven't heard of one instance of an Eheim failing. Very good pump. Also consider the DD D5 / Swiftech MCP655.

I've been using it's smaller stablemate, the 1048, for about 3 years and it's been excellent so I assume the 1250 is also good

I have two because I thought my first one had died. In fact, I'd just rebuilt it badly so now I have a spare (hint). Blinding pumps. There are "better" but the Eheims have proven track records of running tens of thousands of aquaria 24/7.

The Eheims are excellent but have now been superceded by 12v pumps like the D5 due to the fact they get turned on with the PC (Ehiem doesn't unless you use a Relay). 1250 is a fine pump if a little large in some cases - good tip on mounting above too (vibrations, as with all pumps).
