Either Core Temp is screwy or this is the hottest Phenom II

Can I submit this for either a Core temp blooper or a guinness book of record for cpu temp
All I did was fire up a game of Pro Evo, and as I had earlier turned my case fans to low wanted to see how the temps compared to medium settings

I've had this chip running prime95 on 3.8Ghz and it only went to 39 max

Agreed, pretty sure the PC would not have been in any kind of running state if it really got that hot, so taking it as a Core temp bug

Had another game of Pro Evo and monitored temps with SIW and it maxed at 29

This is an error in the software... if your CPU reached those temps it would be dead!!!!

I'd be inclined to call it a bug in either the sensor or the software. 8 bit underflow anyone?

Hehe, no - although I did actually check the photo to make sure it was suitable for electrical fires!
