Eizo HD2441W

Is it me or are there too many 24" to choose from :D

Just you :)

I haven't seen one yet that would be ideal for windows work (good colour) + movies + xbox360 +ps3(?) all at 1080p, 1:1.

Until now.... but it's Eizo, and we are in the EU (that taxes any "monitor" with multimedia inputs) so ....

a) I wont be able to affrod it.... Hell I can barely afford a dell :)
b) It'll probably be the same price as a 1080p samsung 40" LCD TV. So even busting the bank will seem insane.
c) We just plain might not get it in it's full glory in the EU. Just like that fancy 20" NEC A-SIPS monitor got the the HDCP ripped out of it to avoid eu-taxes.

:( Here's hopin'

Just got this response from Eizo with regards to this monitor:

Thank you for your e-mail.

I can confirm the HD2441 is expected to be released in the UK at the end of August. The typical buy price for the HD2441W is £879.00 ex VAT.

Should you require any further information then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Well if this monitor was aimed at the home user, Eizo need to revise the price, i just can't justify spending £1000+ on a monitor :( . I mean how good can it be compared to a Benq FP241w.

Impressive monitor but expensive, its around $1700 in the states. It was on my list however no way I'm paying that much for a PVA based LCD.

For that price a 3007wfp-hc would seem like a better purchase.

Yes, but the 3007wfp-hc does not have all the connections of a HD2441W, for me it would be perfect to hook up a my 360, ps3 and PC and i would have one HMDI left over.

I'm so tempted to get the cc out.

Has anyone come across any reviews for this monitor?

I think I’m going to wait (couple of weeks) on the Benq, to see if they release new firmware that actually works, to get rid of the overscan, if not the Eizo it is.

Gibbo any chance you guys can get these in?

Hopefully a little cheaper then £930 :D

I'm just tired of waiting for the perfect 24" monitor to show up as you decide to buy one and news breaks a better monitor is coming out i.e.FP241W--->Samsung245T and when that comes out it'll be time for the LED LCDs.

So i'm just going to buy one of these two and not visit any tech sites for a year :)
