So OcUK finally got some stock from EK the other week and my block arrived after being on pre-order for a few months. It's been a long 6 hours stripping PC, fitting blocks and re-plumbing.

I stripped my EK Velocity CPU Block whilst I was doping the work to clean it and install a Kryosheet. I wasn't happy with my CPU thermals and I learnt why when removing the CPU block....MASSIVE TIM pumpout, was barely any left. The Kyrosheet should hopefully solve the longevity problem there!

The daunting task of stripping the 5090, cleaning away the liquid metal and fitting the EK Block was not too bad. The hardest part was removing the heatsink from the housing to get the I/O ribbon cable out. Getting the liquid metal off was finicky, I used copius abmounts of Kaptan tape to protect the PCB. I took my time (Which was about 2 hours) and didn't kill it! Seeing a POST screen was a relief for sure.

Temp wise I am currently idling at 29 Deg C on the GPU. Cant really compare TIM to the Kryosheet on the CPU as the previous pumpout was so bad it would be pointless. Suffice to say, temps now with the Kryosheet are in keeping with what I would expect.

Will do some load testing when I am satisfied the loop is leak free and robust.
