I think I've screwed up. I was browsing the 980Ti blocks on EKWB and ordered the one that wasn't for a specific non-reference design. What I didn't spot was that it happened to be a 980 block not a 980Ti. I've got an Inno3d X3 Ultra that I haven't stripped yet. Is it going to fit or done need to swap it for a Titan X block? It's the Titan X part that put me off when ordering!

Thanks Randall. That's what I feared. You know that dawning realisation that you've done something stupid and it's going to mean you aren't going to be able to carry on the build until well after Christmas?....I do :(

Thanks Luc. I don't suppose you happen to know whether the Inno3d backplate will fit with the EK Titan X block do you? If not, I'll have to order one of those as well as swapping block - which I'm hoping EK will be prepared to do on a block that has only been admired, not fitted :D

I don't know how the backplate of your card look, but if the backplate is secure with screws that you remove from the outside, it might fit. The only thing is that you might have to provide longer screws in case the one with the block would not be long enough. But this will be answered only when you install everything.

As for the block replacement, I suggest to contact our support team to see if they will do a replacement. The e-mail is : [email protected]

Thanks Luc. Titan X block ordered as a replacement. Have to send the 980 back asap - fortunately I haven't even broken the seal on the block so it should all be ok.
