EK AM4 Bracket

Probably a very silly question but does anyone know if the EK AM4 bracket is the same as the standard AMD cooler one?

My new board arrived without a bracket and the seller cant get one to me until the end of the week.

I wondered if I could just order this?

Thanks
Scott

I dont know.

But my thoughts are, if theirs was the same as the standard one, why would they need to make their own? They would just use the standard one.

I'm only speculating, but if i had to guess i would say it is different.

Especially as i didn't notice until I had it removed my old board and installed the new. No gaming for me this week! :(

That sucks.

I've been without a pc for what feels like forever.

My mobo was faulty and the place i bought it from offered me a replacement or refund. I took refund seeing as Z390 is on the horizon and i was using z370.

Ugh. The wait.

I hope you get it sorted quickly. No way of building the pc with the old mobo for a week while you wait?

That bracket is for socket AM4 boards only, the hole spacing is different, so if you mean by standard AMD bracket AM3+ etc then no it wont work.

Or do you mean the backplate section ?

If its the backplate you need, then I suggest you buy this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CPU-Heat...hash=item3fa8bc30b5:m:mcSbWGmEwf9JshW9HA3bJrw

or this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMD-AM4-...635301?hash=item3fac0038a5:g:xjIAAOSw2PtaxqPB

you'll see in the pictures for the 2nd one I linked how the screw stand-off's will protrude through the front of the motherboard to screw the stock AM4 cooler onto, the EK bracket doesn't have those.
