Has anybody on the forum bought one of these don't really see many people talking about it,would it be worth buying over a custom watercooling set up.

What would be the benefits, convenience?

A custom loop will offer the best cooling and probably best looks, and be the least noisy. So it depends what your priorities are really.

I use something very similar on my bench table. Using QR fittings makes mounting and removing parts a lot easier. Especially when swapping out graphics cards.

I've had plenty of corsair aios in the past but I like the look of the ek as it's got a full copper part build with what looks like a good size rad and pump, building a custom loop that I need will cost me well over £300 but saying that I could save a few quid buying off the mm.
I'm just suprised there are not many reviews of the ek.

I think the problem is that it's custom loop money, and that puts a lot of people off. Those wanting an AIO don't want to spend so much, and this is, for all intents and purposes, simply an AIO, albeit a very good one.

Anyone with the money starts to look at a custom loop and realises the potential that offers, in terms of both aesthetics and better cooling. Yes it's certainly convenient and maintenance free, so by all means will appeal to a certain type of person, but is rather niche I feel. Also, I think EK lost a huge amount of favour as a result of all the leak issues with the Predator, and while I've not seen any such reports with the Phoenix, it does give pause for thought before buying something so expensive. The lack of reviews is more puzzling (and would aid sales I'm sure), but perhaps EK just aren't sending them out to reviewers... and given the cost, not many will dip in to their own pockets for one.

I think your right there mate,I'm going going to leave it as I need to have a hard think about what I'm going to do.
Thanks for the imfomation guys :)

Personally finding the MLC a downgrade from the Predator
I have the latter, and I can expand it easily with monoblocks and even make a full blown custom cooling.
The MLC is bit strict imho
