Ek Monarch ram cooling question?

I'm currently running this setup on my Asus Rampage IV with 64GB (e.g. 8 sticks) ram running @ 1866Mhz (XMP profile)

Memory temperature feels fine (doesn't even get warm to touch)

You may not even need to as BattFink said. My RAM is four Corsair Vengeance running at 1866MHz. They do have the factory heat spreaders on but there is only 1 intake fan and one exhaust and they're both below 1000rpm. Temp is a pretty steady 40°C and I believe they're rated to about 80°C.

Obviously, if you just like the look or plan to water cool them in the future that's a different matter but you probably only need to if you're going to OC the RAM. Hell, you may even find that your coolant is hotter than the RAM so you're effectively water-warming it instead :D

I have both the ek blocks for my ram it's just I was thinking to leave the waterblocks off and just use the sleek ek replacement heatsinks
Can u put pictures up ? Please

Why even bother, especially when you have to invalidate your warranty to do it? DDR3 just doesn't get hot enough to warrant it. Mine is naked with just case airflow cooling it and overclocked to 2133mhz at 1.5v and it barely gets warm (mid to high 20's according to mu IR temp gun). Ram only really needs extra cooling if putting silly high volts through it.

It's DDR4 corsair 2800mhz for my new X99 I'm going for sleek and minimal.
Happy to risk the warranty. It be overclocked a little I see.
Thanks for your reply
