So now that the 1080ti FTW3 block is due for release next week, i need to start work on my gpu loop. Having already premade the loop using ek petg i have found out i need more that the 500mm tubing to go from he gpu to the res.
Ek appear to only do it in 500mm lengths.
Having looked other brands appear to sell petg in longer lengths however I'm worried if mixing petg types would cause me any problems. Im currently using 10/12mm ek-hd petg.
Does anyone know of which other brands would be best for this loop as different brand appear to do them in different sizes?

Are you using EK fittings? Typically, I always advise people to stick with the same brand tubing and fittings to ensure 100% sizing compatibility. That's not to say mixing brands won't work, but you will want to find a build someone has done using the exact fittings and tubing you intend to use to ensure no issues will arise, as I have certainly seen cases where a tube either won't go in to a fitting at all, or it ends up too loose. I know Monsoon do longer 90cm PETG tubing, but I think they use imperial measurements, so it might not fit EXACTLY with other fittings. Then again it might, but as I say you want to find a build that's done it to be sure.

The other option of course is to just use a 90 degree fitting in between two sections. I've done that myself before and it works well.

Alphacool would gain you 10cm... The only long brand (90cm) I think is Monsoon and yes that is a small risk due to them being American and the mm OD listed being rounded from the inch conversion. That said I believe its rounded up in the 12mm OD size, so its 13mm which would make it larger than the EK and therefore seal better. Basically the main issue is in the 16mm stuff which is often converted from 5/8" and labelled as 16mm when it is really 15.875, 12mm OD is comparable to 1/2" in US metrics which is 12.7mm. The main thing you should focus on is to make sure your tubes are coming out the fitting straight, not at an angle which creates a bad seal.

Or other option is stick with what you have and add either an angled fitting in the loop or potentially more visually interesting a flowmeter inline, either a proper digital read meter or just one of those spinners which keep you assured its all moving around.

Bitspower and Thermaltake both do longer 1000mm tubes.

I would choose the Bitspower 12mm , as Thermaltake use imperial measurements which could cause issues.

2 other options, which you could consider, and keep using the EK tubing ;

Break the long length in 2 smaller lengths and use ;

A flow indicator to join them together

or a simple female to female compression fitting ( takes the tubing on both ends with no threads )

Cheers all, probably will go with the bits power one. Luc may i why you don't sell 1m lengths?

The last time I asked, they said that it was more difficult to handle in terms of shipping and the chances of broken tubes during the shipment was higher so they sticked with the 500mm length.
